The Alpujarra can be proud of its culinary interesting and varied offer. Pork has been and is the mainstay of the cuisine Alpujarra. As proof of this is the great variety of Alpujarran plates with beef and pork sausages. The killing is something that is known in the villages and farms in the provinces of Granada and Almeria. The handmade pork products such as el lomo curado a la pimienta, morcilla de cebolla, longaniza, salchichón, lomo fresco en orza, are delicious.
